In this Age of Stuff, people are inundated with ceaseless displays of junk. Increasingly more items are mass-produced overseas, and then shipped to generic Big Box Stores where even cashiers are being replaced by machines. We need to reconnect people with their products by engaging them with the production process. There was a time when artists, craftspeople, and independent business owners fulfilled our primary shopping needs. When we talked to the people who made our stuff. When we knew their names, and they knew ours. Let’s reignite that past.
