Shipping Questions
Q: How do I qualify for free shipping?

A: If your order is being shipped in the USA and is $50.00 or more you qualify for free shipping. Free shipping is almost always USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days). Exceptions to this is (1) if your order is 13 oz or less it will be shipped USPS First Class or (2) your order contains Perfumer's Alcohol, in which case it will be shipped Fed-ex. If you pay for USPS Priority Mail when your order qualifies for free shipping, you will not receive faster shipping.

Also if you live near New Albany, Indiana and don't mind stopping in to pick up your order then just select Local Pickup. No charge for shipping there! Orders can be picked up Monday - Friday 10 am to 5 pm EST. We recommend you call ahead (502-644-1028) so we can be sure to have your items ready!

A: Most likely we do! To find out for sure you can review your country's rules about importing perfume here. Currently we cannot ship to: Turkey.

Q: Will I have to pay international customs duties or taxes? If so how much does it cost?

A: Usually you will have to pay a customs fee or a tax on the item once it has been cleared for delivery. Your tracking number should notify you if that is the case. Unfortunately sometimes an order, especially if it is large or during the holidays, can get held up in customs. This can delay your delivery. Please understand that this is not Vetiver's fault. We have not control over how your country will handle and examine imports. If a fee is due, the cost will vary depending on where you live and the price of the item. Q: I received a tracking number that has been used before. How do I receive a new one?
A: USPS reuses their tracking numbers. Occasionally you might receive a tracking number that has been used before and displays outdated information. As soon as your package arrives at its first scanable location, the tracking number will reset. Please allow 24 hours for your tracking number to update with the correct address.

Perfumer Questions
Q: Do you offer free samples?

A: We will add up to three free samples of any oil to your order if you spend $10 or more with us. Simply add this product to your order: and request the three oils you'd like to try in the comments section at checkout. Only one free sample pack per order. Otherwise, you can purchase our 1/8 oz sizes - most are around $2 each.

Q: Will your oils blend with alcohol, oil, wax and water?

A. They will blend with alcohol, oil, and wax but not water. Oil and water just don't mix.

Q: What are Fragrance Notes and how are they used?

A: Fragrance Notes, aromatic oils or perfume oils are manufactured scents. They are artificially created fragrances and they contain artificial substances. They are specifically designed to mimic the scent of a natural product (such as coffee fragrance oil) or are created to invoke a feeling (for example "toasted marshmallow"). The range of scents is broad and fragrance oils are usually very affordable. Fragrance Notes are used primary in the cosmetic and perfuming industry to add scent to a variety of products for the body. They are also used in products for scenting the home such as candles, reed diffusers, lampe bergers, incense and oil warmers.

Q: What are Essential Oils, and how are they used?

A: Essential Oils are naturally occurring substances found in different parts of plants - the blossom, fruit, leaf, stem, bark, wood or resin. Through a complicated and often expensive process of steam distillation or solvent extraction, both hydrosol and essential oils are produced. Each essential oil is comprised of between 50 to 500 different naturally occurring chemicals, which can have both positive and negative effects. Most essential oils are used for aromatherapy. They are used in a way to positively affect physical, emotional and mental health. They enter the body through the skin (via massage or bath) or the olfactory system (via a diffuser or humidifier). Essential oils may be used to enhance mood, to relieve symptoms such as pain, fatigue or inflammation, or be used to kill germs. They are also used in the cosmetic and fragrance industry as well.

Q: Are you products tested on animals?

A: Absolutely not! All of Vetiver's products contain no animal products nor are they tested on animals. They are all Vegan, the with exception of Beeswax. Beeswax is considered to be Vegetarian, because although it does not harm any bees in the process it is still by-product of the animal.

Q: Do your oils work in cold-processed soap or candles?
