New Oils & a Sampler you will <3
Greetings Vetiver Fans!
It's starting to look a lot like the holidays! The air is crisp and cool and everyone is bustling around getting ready for our seasonal rituals. This holiday we've released our new Winter Sampler that includes 3 new oils! They are Blue Spruce, Firewood, and Sparkling Aldehyde.
Did you know that you can gift wrap your package for just $2.00? Add a lovely champagne bow for just another dollar! If you need your order rushed you can make your order VIP and the next in line to be fulfilled by clicking here. Also Vetiver offers Gift Certificates for those hard to please. Looking for the perfect stocking stuffer or Hanukkah gift? Try our Pocket Perfume Kit!
As you are preparing for your holiday orders, please keep in mind the following deadlines. We will maintain an updated estimate on how long it is taking to get orders out, but we cannot guarantee a delivery date after the package is in the hands of the post office (sorry!).
Local orders must be placed by December 20th and must be picked up December 21st. We are closed December 22nd - 27th so you will be unable to retrieve your order during these times.
USA orders must be placed by December 18th in order to be most certain you will get your order in time, unless you pay for rush delivery (which moves your order to the top of our fulfillment list), or Express Shipping (in which the post office guarantees 1-2 day delivery). Or you can do both. The last day to make Express Rush orders is by NOON Monday, December 21st. But that is putting a lot of faith in the post office! Better get your order in sooner.
International orders must be placed by December 1st in order to be certain you will get your order in time.
Also we will be offering a great deal on Cyber Monday so stay tuned on our social media to found out more!
Remember you can always purchase kits at our Amazon Store also!
Perfumer's Corner
For those of you interested, we will be putting IFRA Certificates on the site. You can find that information in the document section of each oil. We are quite busy for the holidays but will try to have these up as soon as possible.
I get a lot of questions about Fragrance Notes and Essential Oils. Today we'll talk about the differences between the two and hopefully answer any questions you have.
What are Fragrance Notes, and how are they used?
Fragrance Notes, aromatic oils or perfume oils are manufactured scents. They are artificially created fragrances and they contain artificial substances. Their purpose is to mimic the scent of a natural product (such as coffee fragrance oil) or are designed to invoke a feeling (for example "toasted marshmallow"). The range of scents is broad and fragrance oils are usually very affordable.
Fragrance Notes are used primary in the cosmetic and perfuming industry to add scent to a variety of products for the body. They are also used in products for scenting the home such as candles, reed diffusers, lampe bergers, incense and oil warmers.
What are Essential Oils, and how are they used?
Essential Oils are naturally occurring substances found in different parts of plants - the blossom, fruit, leaf, stem, bark, wood or resin. Through a complicated and often expensive process of steam distillation or solvent extraction, both hydrosol and essential oils are produced. Each essential oil is comprised of between 50 to 500 different naturally occurring chemicals, which can have both positive and negative effects.
In aromatherapy pure essential oils are used in a way to positively affect physical, emotional and mental health. They enter the body through the skin (via massage or bath) or the olfactory system (via a diffuser or humidifier). Essential oils may be used to enhance mood, to relieve symptoms such as pain, fatigue or inflammation, or be used to kill germs. They are also used in the cosmetic and fragrance industry as well.
