About this Essential Oil

Fine, high altitude French Lavender oil has a fresh, sweet, floral, natural aroma. Unlike some floral extracts, French Lavender is pleasantly floral while not overpowering. Chemically, the European Lavenders are quite similar. Linalool, linalyl acetate, furfural, valeric aldehyde, amyl alcohol, pinene, cineol, and various other components occur naturally in French Lavender. High altitude Lavenders are typically preferable due to the higher ester content compared to that of Lavenders cultivated at lower altitudes.

Lavender Mythology

This scent is said to calm untamed lions and tigers. A favorite of Queen Elizabeth, she infused her tea with lavender as well as wore its oil as a perfume. When given as a gift, lavender flowers represent purity and luck. It was believed that lavender placed at the entrance of a home or in a keyhole would repel ghosts and protect against the evil eye. Lavender naturally deters fleas and moths. When used in aromatherapy, it calms the mind and soothes the body by promoting deep sleep and relaxation.

Pure Essential Oils

All our essential oils are premium grade, alcohol-free, phthalate-free, and undiluted. They are 100% pure, and sourced only from the most reputable distributors. We work hard to ensure that your perfume ingredients are top-quality, highly concentrated, and will mix neatly with both alcohol and oil bases. These are not ready to wear as fragrances – they MUST be diluted before applying directly to skin. It is always a good idea to do a patch test for allergies, even with natural materials. And of course – do not eat the oils. No matter how yummy they may smell.

Note: Although these are phthalate-free and 100% natural, they are NOT non-toxic. Don't eat them. Don't drink them. Patch test on skin. Dilute before wearing.

Customer photo review of Lavender Essential Oil

This right here is the swiss army knife of perfumery. It blends well with any fragrance you're making rather it's a aromatic, aquatic, fresh spicy, warm spicy cologne or perfume. I am extremely pleased 10/10 no questions!!!!

It's definitely lavender EO. Be mindful of quantity used. I would consider this in the strong category. It can overpower pretty easily, not as easy as some others. It has some punch. Great lavender EO especially compared to some others I have in my "collection". This lavender has some backbone.

We love these products, wonderful quality. will be getting more!

I love Vetiver Lavender as well as all the other fragrances i purchased-Not only is the packagig and product incredible I recieved my order faster than any other place that i have ordered from. And the customer service is out of this world! Thanks so much-very glad i found you! Bridget in MN

Simply put, I love lavender.

I bought a the Basic Kit and the Foodie Sampler, as well as perfume bottles, extra vials and droppers, and booklets, for my daughter\'s 14th birthday party. The supplies came beautifully packaged and the perfume making was very engaging: the girls experimented and carefully arrived at their own fragrances. We now have plenty left over and I look forward to using these myself for future perfume making, as well as making soaps and scrubs (directions for these applications from Vetiver would be welcome!). The booklet that can be purchased was very informative, and made clear that the samplers are sometimes \top (or \"heart\") heavy\" -- and it seems one needs more \"base\" scents to arrive at a satisfying and less sweet fragrance. (Perhaps the Terrestrials offer more base scents?) "
