This is the West Indiana Bay, not the Bay Laurel (the herb used to flavor stews). This bay (also sometimes referred to as ‘bay rum) has a scent reminiscent of clove. This scent is commonly found in aftershave, and blends well with cinnamon, clove, and evergreens, adding sweet and warm nuances to the overall fragrance.
